Block Leave


Salam.. Semoga semuanya sejahtera di hari Jumaat yang mulia ni..

Tak sabar tunggu kul 5.30pm. Actually Anna and hubby join family day. Dah lama plan before kahwin hari tu... Alhamdulillah, terlaksana juga.

Tempatnya nnt Anna update next entry, InsyaAllah..

Anna sekarang dalam tempoh probation. 3 bulan ni tak dapat bercuti langsung. So, kalau tanye honeymoon, jawabnya tak dapat lah. Raya nanti tak tau dapat cuti panjang ke tak..

Bercakap tentang cuti ni, Anna nak share tentang 'Block Leave'. Anna tak sure block leave ni practice kat institusi perbankan sahaja atau ada juga company lain practice.. 

Apa itu block leave dan kenapa perlu block leave? In my company, every year, we need to take this mandatory block leave. Cuti ni sangat special sebab dalam jumlah cuti tahunan tu, ada cuti yang wajib kita apply, tapi kena melalui proses permohonan awal lah. Sebab implikasinya besar. Dalam tempoh block leave ni, company will not contact you and vice versa.
If during your block leave period, you company contacted you for some critical reasons, you block leave is considered void. And when it is void, you need to re-take the block leave again. If you do not have enough annual leave for your block leave, you need to take unpaid leave for your block leave.

Tujuannya, adalah utk risk management. 

Bayangkan tiba2 staff tu tak datang kerja lagi (banyak sebab, antaranya meninggal, MIA dan sebagainya), camne bank nk operasi kalau staff tu tak datang kerja. Kerja-kerja dia tu dapat dilakukan oleh orang lain atau tak.. this also ensure that there is replacement for every staff in the company.
Not all company impose block leave, only those from banking industry or those companies which need to support critical systems.

So, Anna belum blh apply block leave... Best jugak kan.. tak payah fikir tentang kerja jap buat masa seminggu.. =)

Assalam..ada yg panggil 'compulsory leave'..best juga cuti macam ni..
